A need for change is here.

If it was not already abundantly clear, our current system is broken.

When failing school tax levies mean cutting educators for our children, then our system is broken. When the blue collared worker is drowning under medical debt, rent, groceries, and gas, then our system is broken.

When politicians are able to take money from special interests groups and make decisions against the interest of our communities, then our system is broken.

The system was broken intentionally. It was broken by corrupt politicians in our statehouse. Republicans have been in control of Ohio’s senate for over 40 years.  They have controlled the Governor position for 14 years, as well as the Ohio statehouse.

Decisions about our failing public school system, our medical system, and our infrastructure have come from Republicans.

It’s not the citizens’ fault. Republicans told people that the citizens could trust them. They told the working class that they had your best interests in mind.

Their constituents had to trust these leaders because they were busy trying to keep food on their family’s table and a roof over their heads.

Politicians are making these decisions with two goals in mind, to keep themselves in power and to keep money in their pockets by selling us out to the corporate PACs, and special interest groups.

Someone needs to be the change in this broken system. Someone needs to hold these corrupt politicians accountable for making the citizens of this state suffer.

That’s why I’m supporting Colton Stidam in his endeavors to become elected into the Ohio Statehouse. It’s time to let new people with new ambitions into positions of power in this state.

We cannot let status quo continue, and we need people like Colton Stidam to be the disruptive voice in our political system.

There is no question, and it cannot wait. We need change.
