Polly Baker, 93, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 15, 2026, at her residence. She was born on March 6, 1933, to the late Wilse and Eva (Napier) Howard in Harlan Co., Kentucky.

Polly married the love of her life, Murphy Baker, on October 16, 1949, and together they shared many years filled with love, laughter, and joy until his passing in April 1998.

She enjoyed a life filled with faith, family, and simple pleasures. A devoted Christian, she loved attending church and spending time reading her Bible. Polly found joy in listening to country music, tending her garden, and expressing her creativity through sewing and crocheting.

Polly was well known for her cooking, especially her delicious fried chicken, which was a favorite among family and friends. She loved gathering people around her table and making everyone feel welcome. Perhaps most of all, Polly loved visiting with others. She never met a stranger and could carry on a conversation with just about anyone.
