MANSFIELD — The North End Farmers Market will open its 2026 season June 18 at a new location, offering expanded programming, themed events and community activities.

The market will be open from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursdays at GROW by NECIC, 486 Springmill St., marking a move from its longtime location at the North End Community Improvement Collaborative Urban Farm, 311 Bowman St.

Market organizers said the new site, located at the corner of Springmill and Bowman streets, provides greater visibility and accessibility for residents traveling by foot, bicycle, public transportation or vehicle.

“Moving the farmers market to the new GROW by NECIC location gives us the opportunity to create more than just a place to shop,” NECIC President and CEO Matthew Scruggs said.

“We are building a vibrant neighborhood gathering space where local food, small businesses, music, art and community can come together in the heart of the North End,” he said.

The North End Farmers Market will continue to feature locally grown produce, baked goods, handmade items, community resources and family-friendly activities.

Organizers have also expanded the lineup of live entertainment, food trucks, beverage vendors, demonstrations and community partners.

A new feature this season is a series of themed market events. Planned themes will highlight topics including pets, fitness and wellness, ice cream socials, environmental stewardship, Ohio wildlife, local history, arts and crafts.

The season-opening market will feature the theme “Pets of the North End Farmers Market.”

Residents are encouraged to submit pet photos on Facebook using the hashtag #NorthEndPets or send photos directly to NECIC. Market attendees will vote for their favorite submission, with the winning pet owner receiving $25 in Market Bucks.

The June 18 event will also include food and beverage vendors, a cooking demonstration by Chris Jackson, community organizations and activities for families.

Parking will be available along Vale Avenue and Bowman Street, as well as in an overflow lot at the corner of Bowman and Springmill streets. A handicap-accessible parking area will be available near the market on a first-come, first-served basis.

The market accepts SNAP/EBT, the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program, WIC, credit cards, cash and other forms of payment.

Hosted by NECIC, the North End Farmers Market supports local farmers, food producers, artisans, entrepreneurs and community organizations while providing a gathering place for residents and visitors.
