David Wayne Endicott, 68, of Lexington, Ohio, passed away on June 9, 2026 surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on May 6, 1958, in Galion, Ohio, David was the son of Wayne and Phyllis (Barnett) Endicott. He lived a life marked by honesty, humor, and an unwavering love for his family.

David was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Debbie (Endicott) Lopez; and his brother, Steve Endicott.

He is survived by his children, Jason (Kerri) Endicott, Jenny (Keith) Swisher, Jodi (Jeremy) Cox, Joshua Endicott, and Yan Kacy Feng. He was a proud grandfather to Mason Hall, Molly Hall, Miles Swisher, Malachi Endicott, Eliana Reid, Eliza Reid, Lillian Endicott, and Lacey Endicott. He is also survived by many beloved step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

David is further survived by his sisters, Donna (Steve) Roof, Becky (Scott) Fuller, and Rhonda (Bob) Mellas.

Those who knew David knew exactly where they stood with him. He was brutally honest, never one to sugarcoat the truth, and probably would not have made the world’s greatest Walmart greeter. Yet beneath that straightforward exterior was a man with a generous heart who deeply loved his children and grandchildren.
David loved making people laugh, playing jokes, sharing what he knew, and teaching others. Whether through advice, stories, or life lessons, he was always willing to share his knowledge. Over the last four years especially, he played an active and important role in the lives of his children and grandchildren, creating memories that will be cherished for years to come.

More than anything, David’s family was his greatest source of pride. His love, laughter, wisdom, and unmistakable personality will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those fortunate enough to know him.

In accordance with David’s wishes, no public visitation or funeral service will be held.

The family encourages those who knew David to honor his memory in their own way—by sharing a laugh, telling a good joke, teaching someone something new, or simply spending time with the people they love most.
