About the event:
Ricky Mitchell has spent thousands of hours on stage and in studios as a guitar player and singer, with a resume covering genres as disparate as big band jazz, hip hop fusion, country, midwest emo, and progressive rock. Staying busy boiled down to one thing: improvisation.
On Wednesday, June 17, Scott will lead a (completely free) all-levels guitar workshop at the Richland Academy of the Arts. Join a one-time session to explore the process of soloing from scratch, developing a unique voice, and pushing through the difficult transition from the practice room to the jam session.
No prior experience is required, and instruments will be available for those who need them.
