Mary Lynn McPeek, age 77 of Galion, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2026 in Grant Medical Center in Columbus. She was born on December 11, 1948 in Galion to the late George Britt and Bernice Finical Britt.
Mary retired from Peco II after 38 years of dedicated service. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galion. Mary loved her family. Spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her much joy. In her free time she enjoyed reading, collecting light houses, watching her favorite soap operas which included The Young and The Restless and General Hospital.
Once you heard Mary’s infectious laugh you wouldn’t forget it. She had a great sense of humor and loved to joke around.
Mary will be fondly remembered by her children, Thomas (Charlene) McPeek of Mansfield and Britt McPeek of Galion; her best friend, Terry McPeek; her grandchildren, Brittany (Justin) McPeek and Spencer McPeek; her great-grandchildren, Connor, Phoenix and Seraphine; her brother, Michael Britt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Dick Britt, Barbara Stiner and Gary Britt. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
The family will greet friends from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm, Thursday, June 11, 2026 in the Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes in Galion. Mary’s memorial service will follow at 6:00 pm with Celebrant Dave Roberts officiating.
