Albert “Sam” A. Sexton, age 84, of Plymouth, OH, went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 30, 2026, at home, surrounded by his loved ones. Albert was a devoted father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Born on March 8, 1942, to the late Chester and Gertrude Sexton in Dayton, Ohio. He grew up most of his life in the Plymouth-Shiloh community where he met his late wife of 64 years, Lula Sexton
Albert was a devoted member of Hillstone Freewill Baptist Church
Albert enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, being with his best friend, Waylon Mitchell Lambert, gardening, sitting on his porch watching wildlife and anything that involved his family.
He lived by the chapter Psalm 19.
Albert was a strong, caring, and loving man. He would do anything for his family.
Albert is survived by two of his children, Billy (Glenna) Sexton of Plymouth, OH, and Samantha Robinson of Plymouth OH; 4 grandchildren, Nathan (Kara) Oney, Travis (Ashley) Lambert, Breanna (Darrin) Bellomy, and Chassidy (Devon) Foust; and many great grandchildren he loved very much!
He is preceded in death by his late wife of 64 years, Lula Sexton; daughter, Melinda Oney; grandchildren, Billy Sexton Jr and Gregory Brown.
Services will be held at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services by Wappner, 1327 Ashland Rd., Mansfield Ohio on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 3:00 pm officiated by Pastor Matthew Pond. Friends may visit from 1:00-3:00 pm prior to the service. He will be laid to rest at Mt Hope in Shiloh, OH at a later date in a private family burial.
