ONTARIO – Grab your sneakers, bring a friend, and get ready to have fun because Richland County is stepping into summer one lap at a time.
The Voices of Richland County Walking Series is kicking off a fun and energetic community event starting Wednesday, May 20.
Hosted by Richland County Mobility Management in partnership with the Ohio District 5 Area Agency on Aging, Inc. (AAA5), this weekly walking series isn’t just about exercise, it’s about connection, conversation, and a whole lot of community spirit.
Taking place every Wednesday through July 1 at the Ontario Center (formerly the Richland Mall), walkers can stop by anytime between 10 a.m. and noon. Whether you’re powerwalking, strolling, or just there for the smiles, you can complete as many laps as you’d like – solo or with a group.
And here’s where things get exciting: each walk features special guest appearances from some of Richland County’s most familiar faces and inspiring voices.
Guest lineup:
- May 20 – AAA5 CEO Duana Patton kicks off the series.
- June 3 – Celebrate with Richland County High School State Champions.
- June 17 – Walk alongside Richland County Pageant Queens.
- July 1 – Meet your favorite local media personalities.
This free, all-ages event is designed to get people moving, mingling, and making memories. It’s the perfect midweek boost for your body and your mood.
So, lace up those walking shoes and join the movement — because in Richland County, every step tells a story.
