Leeroy Jr. Fuller, age 79, of Shelby, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at home, surrounded by his loving family.
Leeroy was born on July 11, 1946, in Shelby, to the late Ray and Bonnie (Shorts) Fuller. Leeroy was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving for 18 months in Vietnam. For 22 years, he worked as a truck driver, delivering to R.R. Donnelley in Willard until his retirement.
Leeroy was a longtime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Post #763 and the American Legion O’Brian Post #326, where he enjoyed spending time with friends and shooting games of pool.
A collector of many things, Leeroy could often be found at local auctions searching for unique trinkets to add to his collection. He also enjoyed spending time fishing whenever he had the chance.
Above all, Leeroy was a family man. He adored his grandchildren and especially his great-grandchildren, who brought him endless pride and joy. One of their biggest supporters, Leeroy rarely missed an opportunity to cheer them on, whether at sports games, dance recitals, band concerts, or softball, baseball, and basketball games. He loved watching them grow and pursue the things they were passionate about.
