MANSFIELD — North Central State College celebrated the achievements of its graduating class during a commencement ceremony on May 8 at the Campus Recreation Center, recognizing 256 participating graduates.

A total of 378 students were invited to take part in the milestone event.

Prior to the ceremony, graduates gathered at Ovalwood Hall before participating in a formal processional walk to the Campus Recreation Center, marking the beginning of the evening’s celebration.

The ceremony featured keynote remarks from Dr. Karen A. Stout, President and CEO of Achieving the Dream.

A nationally recognized leader in advancing student success and economic mobility through community colleges, Dr. Stout leads a network of more than 300 institutions dedicated to helping students achieve credentials and career success.

She has been inducted into the American Association of Community Colleges Hall of Fame and most recently served on the National Council on the Humanities following nomination and confirmation by the United States Senate.

During her address, Dr. Stout encouraged graduates to embrace lifelong learning, leadership, and service as they move forward in their academic and professional journeys.

Family members, friends, faculty, staff, and community supporters gathered to honor the graduates and celebrate their accomplishments during the memorable evening ceremony.
