Carol Lynn Yates, age 78 of Mansfield Ohio passed away on Sunday, May 3 following a brief illness. On November 4, 1947 she was born in Mansfield Ohio the daughter of the late Vance and Mary Garnett (Boone) Davis.
In her early years, Carol was a homemaker and then was a sales associate for Value City Furniture. She enjoyed working with pottery, playing cards and bingo.
Carol was always the “life of the party”. She could always make you laugh with her impersonations and put a smile on your face. She always enjoyed spending time with the family around the holidays and always loved a good paper wad fight on Christmas Eve.
She is survived by three sons, Chris (Jennifer) Them of Ontario, Greg (Kate) Them of Marysville, Ohio and Brian (Kelli) Them of Ontario, Ohio; two daughters, Ashley (Chad) Hutcheson of Mansfield and Kristin Yates of Columbus; grandchildren, McKenzie (Andrew) Dinger, Dylan Them, Riley Them, Izabel Them, Hunter Hutcheson, Addilyn Yates, Aiden Proctor, Haylie Hutcheson, Hadleigh Hutcheson, Christian Yates, Jose Hernandez Yates, Alexander Hernandez Yates, Amara Yates and Karter Childs; brothers, Hurk Davis, Dorsey Davis, William Davis, and Mark Davis; sister, Charlotte Baumberger, and many nieces and nephews and cousins.
A celebration of Carol’s life will be held on Monday May 11. 2026 from 1:00-3:00PM at Ohio Cremation & Memorial Society, 9 Chambers Road Mansfield, Ohio 44906.
