Margaret Ellen Tackett, age 84, resident of Willard, Ohio passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026 at her home, with her loving husband, Gary Tackett, at her side. She was born in Norwalk, Ohio on April 24, 1942 to Leon George Atherton and Elizabeth Emma Conn.
She attended North Fairfield school and South Central in Greenwich, Ohio where she graduated in 1961. She was a longtime employee at RR Donnelley & Sons in Willard, Ohio.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Tackett; and brother, Marvin Atherton of Corydon, Indiana.
Margaret was a lifetime follower of Jesus Christ; prior to her illness, she attended First United Methodist Church in Willard and was a missionary to Alaska for one year.
She was preceded in death by her mom and dad; and three sisters, Lucy Mead, Leota Atherton and Alice Leber.
Family and friends are invited to visit at Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth on Monday, May 4, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Margaret’s funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Rich Hurles officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh. Memorial contributions can be made to SouthernCare Hospice.
