Duane A. Moser, 72, of Mansfield passed away May 2, 2026 at home surrounded by family.

Duane was born July 18, 1953 in Ashland to Norman D. and Madeline Buxton Moser. He was a 1971 graduate of Hillsdale High School and went on to work as a Tool & Die for General Motors until retiring after 30 years. Duane married Amelia Smith on April 5, 1974 and they just celebrated 52 years together. Duane was an avid sailor and was a member of the Mohican Sailing Club. He also enjoyed gardening and working in the yard, which led him to being a volunteer at Kingwood and mowing and taking care of Spartan Sports Complex. Duane was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who truly enjoyed all of the time spent with his family whether it was traveling or attending all of the grandchildren’s sporting events. He converted to Catholicism and that showed by all he helped with at St. Peter, cheering on Notre Dame, and being a member of the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree. Most of all Duane was a giver who loved his family and truly saw the good in everyone.

Survivors include his wife Amelia Jo Moser; children Genevieve (Chad) Cullen, Dana Moser, Nicholas Moser; grandchildren Maureen, Benjamin, Seth (Angel), Carmen, Patrick, Phillip, Zaven; great-grandson Styles; sister Murial Mosier; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Wendell.
