FREDERICKTOWN — Olive and Oak Company will expand beyond Mansfield and open a permanent retail space inside The Shoppe on Main at 167 N. Main St., on May 1.
The expansion brings boutique-style fashion to a new community just ahead of Mother’s Day.
“It’s the perfect opportunity for people to stop in, explore the boutique and find something special for the moms in their lives,” owner Amy Klupp said.
“Being able to do this expansion in our fifth year of business is a Godsend,” Klupp said. “We’re beyond thankful for our family and the amazing customers who helped us reach this goal.”
The Shoppe on Main is open Monday through Wednesday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday and Friday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m to 5 p.m.
A shared vision for small-town retail
“Fredericktown and The Shoppe On Main felt like the perfect next step for Olive and Oak because we share the same core values,” Klupp said, pointing to both businesses’ family-owned roots and focus on community.
God has truly blessed Olive and Oak and we are excited for this new chapter.

She described Fredericktown as a tight-knit town where residents value shopping local but lack access to trendy women’s clothing, a gap Olive and Oak aims to fill.
“It allows us to bring affordable, feel-good fashion to even more women in northern Knox County without losing the personal, community-focused atmosphere we love,” she said.
Klupp said the historic, renovated space inside The Shoppe on Main matched her vision, allowing the boutique to expand without losing its personal feel.
The idea for the partnership started months earlier, according to The Shoppe on Main owner Kristine Lindeman.
Lindeman attended the 2025 Richland County Small Business of the Year Awards, where Olive and Oak earned finalist recognition and shared plans to grow.
That moment sparked an idea, she said.
Rather than opening a separate storefront, Lindeman said she saw an opportunity to bring Olive and Oak into an existing space with built-in support, steady foot traffic and an established customer base.
“Expanding into a second retail space often comes with challenges, including securing a location and staffing an additional storefront,” Lindeman said. “The Shoppe on Main already offers something special: a strong team, steady foot traffic and a loyal base of local support.”
A follow-up phone call led to a visit, Lindeman said the energy, shared vision and commitment to community made it a natural fit.
What shoppers can expect
Klupp said customers can expect the same trendy, affordable and high-quality clothing options they offer at Olive and Oak in Mansfield.

“Each piece in our boutique is thoughtfully hand-selected by attending apparel markets so we can bring stylish, on-trend pieces to our community at prices that are affordable,” Klupp said.
She noted the timing aligns with a late-April trip they took to the Nashville Apparel Market, which allowed them to stock fresh summer inventory for both locations.
Approaching its third year in business, The Shoppe on Main, a full-service flower shop, features a mix of local merchants offering products like honey, maple syrup, candles, jewelry and hand-crafted goods.
“The addition of Olive and Oak enhances this unique shopping experience by introducing a boutique clothing element that compliments the existing offerings,” Lindeman said.
The building itself also adds character. The shop operates inside a more-than-100-year-old structure, where a former car elevator once carried vehicles to the second floor for assembly.
Renovations completed in 2023 transformed the space into an open retail area.
“We are thrilled to have Olive and Oak bring this space to life,” Lindeman said. “It’s the perfect setting for a mini boutique — blending historic charm with modern retail.”
Both owners emphasized the collaboration reflects a broader goal: strengthening small businesses while giving residents more reasons to shop local.
Klupp said they are excited to be part of a space where residents of Fredericktown can shop local, discover unique products and support small businesses all in one place.
“We would like to Thank Kristine at The Shoppe On Main for giving us this opportunity, as it has always been a goal of ours to expand,” she added. “God has truly blessed Olive & Oak and we are excited for this new chapter.”
