Victoria Genee Woodman died April 10th, 2026. “Vicki” passed peacefully at Kingston of Ashland after battling metastatic melanoma.
Vicki was born Dec 23, 1945 to D.K. Woodman and Owasa Genee (Shryock Woodman). Vicki traveled the world as a young girl watching as her father gathered material for the Mansfield News Journal. She gained a strong sense of community watching her mother volunteer tirelessly throughout the city.
Vicki graduated from Mansfield Senior High School, earned a bachelor’s of education from Ashland College and returned to Mansfield Senior HIgh to begin her teaching career. Vick also worked for Richland Newhope Industries, and Head Start, before retiring as an itinerant teacher. Even after retirement she shared her love of education teaching her granddaughter while she babysat.
Vicki is survived by her two children; John Rowland Dumm and Cynthia E. (Dumm) Vanderbilt; and granddaughter Vivian G. Vanderbilt.
Vicki was a believer in Christ and spent hours praying for friends, family and strangers.
Please join the family at Firth Presbyterian Church in Mansfield, on May 9th, 2026 from 1pm to 3pm for a celebration of life.
