Sharon J. Wertenberger, age 78 of Mansfield, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026, at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born on September 28, 1947, in Bluecreek, to the late Elca and Wanda May, and she married the love of her life, Danny L. Wertenberger in 1994.

Sharon worked as a production scheduler for Ball Bounce & Sport. She enjoyed boating and fishing, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and she loved babies. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church; she loved attending and was strong in her faith.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years Dan; her children Brian (Tammy) Armstrong, Bill (Liz) Armstrong, Chris (Erica) Armstrong, and Drew (Andi) Wertenberger; her grandchildren John Armstrong, Jenny (Matt) Bright, Luke Armstrong, Logan (Brittany) Armstrong, Layne (Alisha) Armstrong, Caden Armstrong, Alexis (Tom) Layer, Abi Armstrong, Lizzie Rader, Zane Wertenberger, and Briley Wertenberger; her great-grandchildren Jameson Bright, Ellie Armstrong, Dawson Armstrong, Quinn Armstrong, Adaleigh Armstrong, and Maelynn Armstrong; her brother Randy (Theresa) May; her sister-in-law Tami Hunt; and her brother-in-law Larry (Diana) Wertenberger.

She was preceded in death by her parents Elca and Wanda May; her brother Ricky May; and her son Michael Armstrong.

No formal services will be observed.
