Miguel Alcangel Rivera Jr., age 58, of Mansfield Ohio passed away on April 15, 2026 on Longview Avenue following a car accident
He was born on December 19, 1967 in Beacon, New York the son of Ada Hernandez Liciaga.
Miguel was born in Beacon, New York and had lived in Utah, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico from 1988 to 2020 and Ohio from 2020 to 2026
On November 16, 2018, he married Judith Anders at Isabella, Puerto Rico and together they shared three years and four months of marriage and have been separated for the last four years. Miguel worked at Nanogates, Alcatraz Restaurant and Bar, as a security guard at the flea market and also owned his own store. He was a member of the gun club Association and coin collector.
Miguel loved to dance, listen to music, like to practice karate, spend time with grandchildren, loved being a security guard and was always a giving person. He also liked to talk a lot, was a workaholic, loved to cook, liked his own space and loved to pick up his grandchildren at school.
He only wanted his children to always get along and be together as a family. His only pride was his kids. It was important to him for his kids to meet his family. He also accomplished seeing his mother, not knowing it would be the last time.
He is survived by Ada Hernandez-Liciaga, Aida L. Rivera, Marisol Rivera, Blanca I. Rivera-Hernandez and Mickey Rivera, his children, Raquell Ann Rivera, Tanisha Nicole Rivera, Ethen Acevedo, Tamika Acevedo, Grace Marie Maldonado, Stephanie Vieves Rosa, his six grandchildren and step grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by Niguel Rivera Osuba.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026 at 3 PM at Ohio Cremation And Memorial Society, 9 Chambers Rd., Mansfield, OH 44906. Pastor Dink Porter will officiate and friends and family may call from 2 to 3 PM.
