Jane Beam, age 99, fell asleep in death after a very brief illness on April 20th, 2026. She was born to Charles and Violet Michaels on February 13, 1927, and was one of four children, but she was always “Daddy’s girl”.
Jane married the love of her life, A.I. Beam, on August 3rd, 1946, and they were devoted to each other for the next 67 years. They raised three children, Mike, Dave and Brenda, in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. During those times, she and her husband tended a large garden, canned, and delighted in having their family and friends around them. She also relished spending time in God’s creation, camping, and fishing with A.I. and their children. Jane was known for her sense of humor, which her sons both inherited, and her intelligence and detective skills. Nothing was ever going to get by Jane. Her kids and grandkids all tried and failed miserably.
Jane’s family and her faith were her biggest sources of joy. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on May 1st, 1954, and for over 71 years shared with others her hope for the future and her great love of Jehovah God. She had the amazing privilege of helping over 30 people come to know Jehovah. She was a faithful member of the Cuyahoga Falls, OH Congregation; Navarre, FL Congregation; and most recently the Mansfield South, OH Congregation and loved her spiritual brothers and sisters.
Jane is preceded in death by her husband, A.I. Beam, her daughter Brenda and her grandson Jason Beam.
She is survived by her sons Michael (Bonnie) Beam of Lucas, Ohio and David (Diana) Beam of Navarre, FL. She is also survived by her treasured Beam grandchildren, Perry (Mandy), Ben (Laurie), Emily (Dan) Sieving, Andy (Ashley), Chad (Valerie) and Carie, along with 15 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren with one on the way. Jane also loved cats and is survived by her cat, Andy. Her friends and family are looking forward to seeing Jane surrounded by her loved ones in Paradise, as Jehovah has promised at Job 14:14&15.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 4:00 pm at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1780 Middle Bellville Rd., Mansfield, 44904.
