Daniel Stark McLarnan, 78, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, April 21, 2026. He was born September 29, 1947, in Mt Vernon, Ohio, to John Earl and Norma (Mills) McLarnan.
Daniel, a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, dedicated 26 years of service as a custodian with the Post Office before retiring in 2008. In his free time, he found joy in riding his scooter and attending concerts at the Renaissance Theater. He also enjoyed simple pleasures like shopping at Wal-Mart and took great pride in his collection of toy cars.
Daniel is survived by his beloved wife, Caridad; his children, Kimberly (Philip) Smollen and Timothy (Amy) McLarnan; seven grandchildren, Emily Smollen, Nate Smollen, Andrew Smollen, Alyssa Kaufman, Ashley Kaufman, Tommy Burchett, and Kaycee McLarnan; two great-grandchildren, Armando Bautista and Davina Bautista, and sister-in-law, Roxanna McLarnan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, David McLarnan.
