Beverly A. Ringer, age 79 of Mansfield, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at Arbors of Mifflin Nursing Home. She was born on June 7, 1946, in Mansfield to the late Lester E. and Nora R. (Wade) Bridges.
Beverly was a member of Pleasant Grove Community Church. She was known by many as “Momma Bev,” always the beloved neighborhood mom, and she always worked hard to provide for her own children, as well as the many foster children she cared for just like they were her own. She enjoyed playing bingo, and she also enjoyed fishing with her husband. She was a woman who loved everyone, and she will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her daughter Rebecca (Harold) Wayman; her siblings Raymond Bridges and Lila (Carl) Schuster; her grandchildren Sarah (James) Capelman, Haylie (Jacob) Woods, Isaac (Daisy) Brooks, and Anthony (Stephanie) Wayman; her special adopted granddaughter Rebecca Slick; two great-grandchildren with two on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert A. Ringer, her parents Lester and Nora Bridges, and her siblings Lenora (John) Vining, Esther (Jim) Vining, and Barbara (Bill) Hampton.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. Services will take place at 12:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Dettmer officiating. Burial will follow at Mansfield Cemetery.
