SHELBY — Women of all ages will take center stage at a unique and inspiring fashion event, Women and Fashion, on Monday, April 27 at the Shelby Community and Senior Center.

This lively evening will showcase fashion trends for every stage of life — from toddlers to seniors — while supporting local nonprofits through community giving.

The event, held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. (doors open at 6:00 p.m.), will transform the Shelby Community and Senior Center, located at 154 North Gamble Street, into a vibrant runway featuring local vendors and Shelby natives modeling the latest styles.

In addition to enjoying the fashion show, attendees are encouraged to participate in a community clothing drive benefiting three local organizations: Shelby Help Line Ministries, Ignited, and the Domestic Violence Shelter. Guests are asked to bring gently used or new clothing items and clearly mark donation bags for their intended organization.

Requested donation items

Shelby Help Line Ministries: Girls’ clothing (sizes 5–16), women’s leggings and shorts (all sizes), men’s sweatpants (all sizes), and new socks and underwear.

Ignited: Shoes (sizes 7.5–10), women’s hoodies, T-shirts, yoga pants, sweatpants, leggings, and summer clothing (sizes M–XL).

Domestic Violence Shelter: Women’s shoes (sizes 5.5–7.5), women’s shorts, shirts, jackets, jeans, and T-shirts (sizes XS–M), and men’s clothing (all sizes).

A light dinner will be provided during the event. Admission is $15 per person, and free for members of 100+ Women for Shelby.

Childcare services will be available; however, advance RSVP is required by contacting The Shelby Foundation at 419-342-3686.
