Bryon Lester Smith, age 64 of Mansfield, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at his home. He was born on July 11, 1961, in Mansfield to the late Raymond L. and Fontella (Taylor) Smith.
Bryon loved dirt bike racing in his younger years, where he won many races, and he also enjoyed coon hunting. He spent many years working in his family’s business, Shelly Smith & Sons Towing, driving trucks and towing cars.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his daughter Roxanna Dowdell; his siblings Robert (Beth) Smith and Pam Smith; his nieces Shelly Lyles and Kaitlyn Smith; and his great-nephews Keighan Smith-Deal, Gavyn Lyles, and Logan Lyles.
He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Fontella Smith.
No formal services will be observed.
