Ronald “Ron” E. Weiss, age 59 of Bellville, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at his home following a short battle with lung cancer. He was born July 31, 1966, in Mansfield, to the late James “Jim” Allen Weiss and Eleanor “Sue” Ann Stahl. He lived half of his life in the Madison area, where he met his true love, Anita Beal, whom he married on September 10, 1988.
Ron worked at the Hilltop Restaurant until he started his dream job at C&F Truck and Tire as a diesel mechanic. He went on to work at Moritz Concrete for 28 years then to his retirement job at Robertson Truck Sales in Mount Vernon.
He enjoyed tractor pulling, restoring old tractors, fishing with his grandchildren and riding his motorcycle. Ron took pride in hard work to provide for his family. He loved every minute that was spent with his family.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-eight years, Anita M. Weiss; son and daughter-in-law Wesley and Kyla Weiss; grandchildren Bryce, Emma, Faith, Ollie, and Casen; sisters Kandi (Don) Browning, Carla (James) Bohley, Jamie (Bill) Finley; sister-in-law Nannette (Steve) Clark; brother-in-law Wes Beal; numerous nephews and nieces; dear friends – McFernen families, Jim and Marva Huff, Donny and Kathy Kunkle, Larry and Linda Sauder; and special hospice nurse, Jen Carr.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jim Weiss and Sue Stahl; one brother; and three nephews.
Calling hours will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Minister Dean Jackson officiating.
