MANSFIELD — Two suspects were arrested and charged with seven felony counts on Tuesday in Mansfield, according to a press release issued by METRICH.

Dion Cornelius, 39, was arrested and charged with two counts of Trafficking in Cocaine (fifth-degree felony), Trafficking in Cocaine (fourth-degree felony), Trafficking in Fentanyl (fourth-degree felony) and Possession of Cocaine (fourth-degree felony).

TaKeisha Lane, 31, was arrested and charged with Trafficking in Cocaine (a fifth-degree felony), Trafficking in Cocaine (fourth-degree felony) and Possession of Cocaine (fourth-degree felony).

Lt. Steve Blust, of METRICH/Mansfield Police, said further drug-related charges will be forwarded to the Richland County Prosecutor’s Office.

According to Blust, detectives with the assistance of the Mansfield Police Department and members of the Richland County ASORT executed a drug-related search warrant at 181 Atcheson Ave., Mansfield. The search warrant was authorized by Mansfield Municipal Court Judge Michael Kemerer.

METRICH detectives conducted their search and seized suspected cocaine, U.S. currency and other drug-related evidence.

“The METRICH Enforcement Unit will continue to target those bringing and distributing illegal drugs within our community and encourage citizens to continue to report suspected drug activity,” Blust stated.
