Willard N. “Bill” Pollock, Jr. age 76 transitioned peacefully, Friday, April 3, 2026 at his home in Shelby.

Born October 22, 1949, in Shelby to Willard N. and Mary Jane (Roberts) Pollock, he had been a lifelong Shelby resident. A 1968 Shelby High School graduate, Bill had been formally employed with AMF, AutoCall Co. and Marco Photo before working at TYCO in Mansfield, retiring in 2016.

He had attended Calvary Baptist Church in Shelby for many years. Bill was an avid coin collector and enjoyed reading. He also loved watching sports, especially football, and his favorite team to cheer for was the Ohio State Buckeyes.

He is survived by his four sons Bradford Pollock of Shelby, Brian Pollock of Columbus, Steven Pollock, of Shelby, Michael Pollock of Shelby; five grandchildren Braydan, Makaila, Colton, Jacob Pollock and Dustin Berry; one sister Paulette Sponseller of Ontario; multiple great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters Linda Hicks, Marlise Summers, and Susan Pollock; niece Jennifer Sprankl and nephew, Jeffrey Pollock.

Friends may visit the family at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory in Shelby Tuesday, April 7, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A private family burial will take place at a later date at Oakland Cemetery in Shelby.

Guests are encouraged to dress casually and comfortably to celebrate Bill’s life and share memories together.
