Lowell “Mo” E. Mosier, 84, of Ashland, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home on March 20, 2026.
He was born to William H. Mosier and Litha S. Mosier on February 13, 1942, in Grahn, Kentucky. Lowell relocated to Ohio from Kentucky early on to build a life and future for his family, dedicating himself to their care and well-being.
Lowell was a devoted family man whose deep care, generosity, and commitment to his loved ones were evident in all aspects of his life. He found great fulfillment being outdoors, where he would often be tending to his garden and hunting. In quieter moments, he was an avid book enthusiast who loved to read a good book. Lowell had a way of lighting up any room he entered, bringing laughter, stories, and happiness to those around him. He was a proud member of the Mansfield Muzzle Loader Rifle Club (MMLRC) and a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association (NRA).
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Litha Mosier, his siblings William “Bus” Mosier, Ercel Mosier, Grover Mosier, Earnest “Gene” Mosier, Lena “Jewell” Ison, Hazel “Rose” Kitts, Barbara “Bobbi” Carroll, and infant sister Sarah Mosier. He was also preceded in death by his lifelong friend, Sam Johnson.
Lowell is survived by his daughter, Terry Taylor of Polk, Ohio; grandsons Justin Crossen and Charles Taylor of Ashland, Ohio; his very special friend, Vaughn Greenhill of Ashland, Ohio; and numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
Memorial services will be private with the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the MMLRC or the NRA.
