Amy Jean Miller, 49, passed away on March 25, 2026. Born on August 23, 1976, she spent most of her life in Mount Vernon, Ohio, and more recently became a resident of Mansfield, Ohio.
Amy was known for her humor, strength, and bold, authentic personality. She was open-minded, compassionate, and had a way of connecting with others that made everyone feel welcome.
She dedicated 16 years of her life as an EMT and paramedic, serving others with endless care and kindness. Even after stepping away due to her own medical challenges, she continued to add to the medical community by participating in several experimental case studies and traveling as a patient speaker for the Hereditary Angioedema Association.
Amy is survived by her children, Carlee Lightle (Alex Minix), Adam Lightle, and Erica Sigman; her grandchildren, Vivian Minix, Bjorn Myers, and soon-to-be-born Arlo Myers; her sister, Michelle Soles (Trent Soles); as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Sheila Miller.
A celebration of Amy’s life will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at the Ohio Cremation & Memorial Society, 9 Chambers Road, Mansfield, Ohio 44906. Calling hours will take place from 1:00–2:00 PM, followed by a service from 2:00–3:00 PM, with food, music, and a continued celebration of life from 3:00–4:00 PM.
In honor of Amy’s vibrant spirit, guests are encouraged to wear colors and prints rather than traditional black attire. This will be a day to share memories, laughter, and the joy she brought to so many.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a trust fund established to support Amy’s grandchildren. We are raising funds to support Amy’s grandchildren in the future. All donations will be placed into a dedicated savings account and held until they turn 18, at which time the funds will be distributed equally among them.
