MANSFIELD — The Voters Independent of Party will host a program on climate change/global warming on Saturday, April 25 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

The program will take place at the main branch of the Mansfield/Richland County Public Library in the community room.

This program will focus on the science of global warming, climate denial, why the focus is more on the economic and political aspects of it than the moral, and what the future holds for all Life on our beautiful planet. But more importantly perhaps we invite you to help us plan a course of action to address this serious problem.

The event will include three speakers.

Dr. Gregory Wiles. Ph.D. (College of Wooster) will be discussing the science behind climate change and what the future holds for life on this planet.

The Rev. Dr. Faith Proietti will address the morality and political/economic issues surrounding climate change.

Dr. Paul Robinson, Ph.D., psychologist (retired) will address the problem of climate change denial.

“We believe it is unconscionable to subject the present as well as future generations to the perils of global warming,” Robinson said. “At present we are in a collision course with reality. If more people do not get involved in effective solutions to reduce it, all life on this sacred planet will suffer.”
