Peter “Pete” William Brandt, Jr., age 74 of Mansfield, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026, while in the care of Lexington Court Care. He was born on December 26, 1951, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Peter William and LaDonna Marie (Kaufman) Brandt, Sr.
Pete was a 1970 Madison High School Graduate and had worked for Federated Parts. On February 27, 1981, he married Patricia J. Bellomy. He enjoyed watching all kinds of sports and NASCAR. When he was younger, he liked to take the family to watch car races.
He is survived by his wife Patricia Brandt; his children Jason W. Brandt of North Carolina, Nicholas C. Southerland, Jr., Mary (Todd) McQuillen, Amanda M. (Thomas, Jr.) Brandt Auflick, and Susan M. (Mark) Becker all of Mansfield; and his too many to count grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents Peter and LaDonna Brandt, Sr.
Family and friends may call from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Monday, March 23, 2026, at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. Memorial services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Robert J. Kurtz officiating.
