MANSFIELD — Three crashes on Tuesday morning temporarily closed two lanes of Interstate-71 in Richland County, according to the Mansfield Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Only one driver reported a possible injury resulting from the crashes.

The initial crash occurred at approximately 6:45 a.m. when a Gray 2025 Ford F-150 lost control and spun out on I-71 at mile post 168 southbound. While losing control the pickup struck a 2015 Gray Nissan Altima.

Several others vehicles began to slow and stop for the crash that occurred resulting in two other separate crashes in the same area.

Two lanes were shut down during the initial investigation but are now open. The crashes remain under further investigation at this time.
