COLUMBUS – The Ohio State Highway Patrol and other members of the 6-State Trooper Project joined together earlier this month to focus on removing drugs and illegal weapons from the state’s communities.
During the enforcement, troopers made 46 drug arrests and recorded 17 illegal weapons violations.
The enforcement effort also included the Indiana State Police, Kentucky State Police, Michigan State Police, Pennsylvania State Police and West Virginia State Police.
The three-day initiative began on Thursday, March 5 and continued through Saturday, March 7.
Collectively, 583 drug arrests and 85 illegal weapons violations were recorded.
The 6-State Trooper Project is a multi-state law enforcement partnership aimed at providing combined and coordinated law enforcement and security services in the areas of highway safety, criminal patrol and intelligence sharing.
