Joshua “Josh” Horsley
March 2, 1982 – February 19, 2026

Josh Horsley, 43, of Mansfield, Ohio, passed away on February 19, 2026, following a long battle with multiple health conditions. Josh was born on March 2, 1982, in Mansfield, Ohio, the first son of Tammi Horsley. He worked for many years as a laborer in the insulation and metal fabrication fields. Later in life, he discovered his true passion while working as a first mate on a charter fishing boat. He deeply loved the work and dreamed of one day captaining his own boat on Lake Erie.

Josh treasured traveling to Kentucky to spend time with his papaw, Glendle. He loved the
outdoors and could often be found fishing, collecting arrowheads, rock hounding, or camping. Nature brought him peace and joy.

He had a heart of gold and a deep love for animals, especially his beloved dog, Bane. Josh was also an avid football fan who faithfully cheered on the Buckeyes and the Steelers.

Josh is survived by his only child, Kaleb “Nova” Horsley; his mother, Tammi Horsley; his
brother, Justin Dronebarger; uncles, Jeremy (Denielle) Horsley and Brian Horsley; his special friend, Mick Roose; and many other cherished family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Glendle and Roberta Horsley; his
father- and mother-in-law, Don and Shelly Scheidler; and his uncle, Michael Hunt.

The family would like to thank everyone for their love, prayers, and donations during this difficult time. A special thank you is extended to Bianca Horsley for assisting with Josh’s final wishes and organizing the fundraiser.

Family and friends may call from 2:00PM-4:00PM on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Ohio
Cremation & Memorial Society, 9 Chambers Rd., Mansfield, Ohio 44906.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to A Father’s Legacy: Supporting
Kaleb “Nova” Horsley on gofundme to help with Nova’s transfer to OSU Columbus this coming fall. Navigating this new chapter in life will be especially difficult without their father’s presence.
