Mary M. Mills, age 70, of Crestline passed away March 4, 2026 at Ohio State University Hospital surrounded by family after a long battle with cancer.
Born July 5, 1955 in Galion, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Helen (Freeman) Miller. She married John Mills on March 23, 1973, and he survives.
She was a graduate from the class of 1973 from Galion City high schools. Mary was a member of the 1st United Church of Christ. She enjoyed cooking, and will be well remembered for her fried chicken and macaroni salad. She loved spending time with her kids and grandchildren. She loved watching stand-up comedy. She also loved music, which included playing her piano, listening to her favorite band, the Beatles and her favorite song Dragging the Line. Her number was 111 and blue was her favorite color, except for trucks then it was red.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children Christina Podolak and Jason (Shawna) Mills. Her grandchildren Gavin Podolak, Blake Podolak, Owen Mills, and Alexander Mills. She is also survived by her siblings Doris Van Allen and John (Karin) Miller, nephew Dennis (Ginny) Van Allen, nieces Jessica (Nick) Jones and Abigail (Adam) Gerhart, and several great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm, Saturday March 14, 2026 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where funeral services follow at 1:30pm with Loyd and Dreama Caudill officiating.
