LEXINGTON — If the next two meetings are anything like the first, Lexington and Madison fans better buckle up.

The sixth-seeded Minutemen and seventh-seeded Rams will meet in a Division III sectional semifinal at 7 p.m. Feb. 25 at Lexington.

The postseason showdown will come on the heels of Friday’s second regular-season meeting between the Ohio Cardinal Conference rivals at Lex. 

The Rams won the first meeting 64-60 in double overtime on Jan. 17.

Lexington (8-12) has won two straight and four of five after dropping 10 in a row. Meanwhile, Madison (7-13) has lost four straight and six of seven.

Mansfield Senior (15-7) earned the No. 3 seed in Sunday’s Division III tournament draw and will host No. 11 Norwalk (1-19) in a sectional final at 7 p.m. Feb. 27.

Division IV

A postseason rubber match could await Ontario and Shelby.

The Warriors (14-6) earned the top seed in the Division IV tourney draw Sunday and took an opening-round bye.

Ontario awaits the winner of No. 2 Shelby vs. No. 7 Kenton. The Whippets (13-6) host the Wildcats in a sectional final at 7 p.m. Feb. 26.

Third-seeded Clear Fork (8-14) will host No. 6 Fostoria at 6 p.m. Feb. 25. No. 4 Galion (6-16) will host No. 5 Upper Sandusky at 6 p.m. Feb. 25.

Division VI

Both Crestview and Mansfield Christian will open the Division VI postseason on the road.

The fourth-seeded Cougars (10-10) will visit No. 3 New London for a sectional final at 6 p.m. Feb. 27. The Firelands Conference rivals split during the regular season.

No. 5 Mansfield Christian (10-9) will visit No. 2 Seneca East for a sectional final at 6 p.m. Feb. 27.

Division VII

Plymouth (13-7) earned the No. 2 seed in the Division VII draw and will host No. 6 St. Peter’s (7-10) for a sectional final at 6 p.m. 

No. 8 Lucas (0-21) will visit top-seeded Tiffin Calvert for a sectional final at 6 p.m. February. 26.
