ASHLAND — A 34-count indictment against a former Polk fire chief was returned Friday by an Ashland County grand jury.
Brandon Mosher, 37, was arrested on Aug. 21, 2025 after a months-long investigation between the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
According to Ashland County Common Pleas Court records, the 34-count indictment includes the following charges:
- Five counts of pandering sexually-oriented matter involving a minor or impaired person.
- Eight counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor or impaired person.
- 12 counts of illegal use of minor or impaired person in nudity-oriented material or performance.
- One count of tampering with evidence.
- One count of possessing criminal tools.
- Three counts of identity fraud.
- One count of theft in office.
- Two counts of telecommunications harassment.
- One count of nonconsensual dissemination of private sexual images.
The alleged offenses cover a lengthy time frame, according to the indictment. Alleged offenses date back as far as May 25, 2013 and as recent as Aug. 21, 2025.
According to the indictment, each of the alleged offenses took place in Ashland County. The one count of theft in office alleges the offense took place in Ashland County and/or Sandusky County.
Mosher bonded out of jail on Oct. 21, 2025 by paying 10 percent of his $300,000 bail, according to previous Ashland Source reporting. He returned to the Ashland County Jail in December 2025 after violating his bond conditions by accessing the internet.
According to court records, Mosher is currently out on bond after his bond was reinstated on Jan. 23 as previously set.
He is scheduled to appear for a jury trial before Ashland County Common Pleas Court Judge David Stimpert on March 3 at 8:30 a.m.
