Vicki Renee Fuson, 64, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, on Monday, February 9, 2026, at her residence in Galion.
Vicki was born in Galion, on February 5, 1962, to the late Frederick and Wilma (Hale) Birmelin. She married Kevin Fuson on June 22, 2002, and he survives her in Galion.
Vicki was a proud member of the Galion High School Class of 1980. After completing her education, she devoted her life to the service industry, finding her passion in the kitchen as a talented cook and baker. She began her culinary career at Cozy Inn in Galion, where she delighted many with her delicious creations and warm spirit.
Her love for cooking extended to her home, where she enjoyed sharing meals and baked goods with family and friends. Vicki was also an avid reader, often immersing herself in the pages of a good book, which further enriched her life and those around her.
In addition to her beloved husband, Vicki is survived by her three sons, Chuck (Jessica) Cotter, Steve (LeAnn) Cotter, and Matthew (Macey) Cotter; her two step daughters, Megan Fuson and Courtney Fuson, her two grandchildren, Emmett Cotter and Ameliabell Cotter, two step grandchildren, Felicity and James, her brother, Tim Plummer, of Tampa, FL, and her three sisters, Kris (Mike) Hermes of Castalia, Amy (Greg) Smith of Bellville, and Lisa (Bernie) Bogan of Sandusky.
A celebration of Vicki’s life will be held at a later date, allowing friends and family to come together in remembrance of her warmth and kindness.
