Norma Jean “Jeanie” Stewart Crum of Mansfield passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at her home. She was 79 years old.
She was born July 9, 1946, in Mansfield, Ohio, one of two daughters of the late Wayne W. and Margaret (Duzan) Stewart. She married Gene Crum on June 12, 1964, and was a full-time homemaker her entire life. A faithful member of Faith Chapel, she accepted Jesus as her savior and was baptized on May 2, 1971. Norma was blessed with a green thumb and amassed an amazing garden with 187 different varieties of her favorite flower—day lilies.
Norma is survived by her husband of 61 years, Eugene Crum; sister, Barb Diedrich; brother-in-law, Clifton (Naomi) Crum; and bonus children she loved as if they were her own, Anna, Ellie, Grace, Emery, Martin and Maggie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Elizabeth.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm on Monday, February 9, 2026, at Faith Chapel, 674 Hanna Road, Mansfield. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm with Pastor Bruce Copley and Pastor Jay Stevens officiating. She will be laid to rest in Oak Grove Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Chapel.
