Kristine Elizabeth Morris-Boan, lovingly known for her creativity, compassion, and extraordinary strength, passed away at home with her family on January 25, 2026. She was born on July 25, 1985, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Richard Wayne Morris and Kathleen Ann Kleshinski Morris.
Kristine lived a life defined by love, resilience, and purpose. Above all else, family was the center of her life. Every role she cherished—daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, and friend—flowed from her deep belief that love and connection mattered more than anything else. Her devotion to her family guided every choice she made and every dream she pursued.
She was deeply creative, finding joy in painting, sculpture, mixed media, jewelry-making, and countless artistic endeavors. Kristine had a gift for taking inspiration from the world around her and transforming it into something tangible—something meant to be shared with others.
She was a dedicated and talented educator for many years, teaching special education and art. Kristine had a profound impact on her students, meeting each child with patience, empathy, and an unwavering belief in their potential. Her inspiration extended beyond the classroom, rooted in the kindness and care she gave so freely.
Kristine’s greatest joy and proudest role was being a mother. Being Elizabeth’s Mama was her biggest dream and the heart of her world. She was a gentle, nurturing, and devoted mother, and an extraordinary role model—loving, present, and endlessly encouraging.
Kristine also demonstrated remarkable resilience, having been diagnosed with cancer more than 18 years ago. She faced countless surgeries, procedures, treatments, multiple diagnoses, and uncertain prognoses. Through it all, she persevered with grace, courage, and an unwaveringly positive spirit. Even in the most difficult moments, she continued to make plans—plans to build a family, to explore her passions, to travel, seek adventure, and to keep living fully. She never stopped living, and her strength continues to inspire all who knew her.
Kristine was preceded in death by her father, Richard Wayne Morris; her sister, Sarah Kathleen Morris (stillbirth); her grandparents, Dick and Hilty Kleshinski, and E. Edward and Audrey Morris; her cousins, Sandy and Cynda Morris; and her uncle, Alan Gallaway.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Andrew Wayne Morris-Boan, and her beautiful and magical daughter, Elizabeth Ann Mae Morris-Boan; her guiding inspiration and role model mother, Kathleen Ann Kleshinski Morris; her built-in best friends and the best siblings a girl could ask for, Michael Morris and Kelly Morris; her gentle sister-in-law, Kelly Satterfield; her sweetheart niece, Charlotte Satterfield Morris (Michael Morris and Kelly Satterfield); and her good girl fur-niece, Bubs (Kelly Morris).
Kristine loved fiercely, lived bravely, and placed family above all else. Her legacy lives on through her daughter, her family, and the countless lives she touched with her kindness, strength, and unwavering love.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff at the OSU Hospital and the James Cancer Hospital who cared for Kristine over the years, as well as to the team at Sanctuary Hospice, whose compassion and dedication provided her with comfort and dignity during her final days at home.
Calling hours will be held on February 8 from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at The Gardens at Jorgensen Farms (Arboretum) at 5851 E. Walnut St., Westerville, OH 43081, with a short service to follow. There will be a private burial at a later date.
