Patricia Ann Rank, age 86, passed away Friday, January 23, 2026, at the Crestwood Care Center in Shelby.
Born May 17, 1939, in Crestline, OH to William and Nellie (Snavely) Waldbauer, she was a 1958 graduate of Tiro High School and a member of the First Lutheran Church in Shelby.
Pat was employed with Heritage Care Center in Shelby working as an AID for over 32 years, before her retirement in 2012. She enjoyed baking, sewing, and gardening, but most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her family was her greatest joy, and she will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
She is survived by her three daughters; Cathy (Tom) Takos of Shelby, Becky (Tim) Paulo of Shelby, Carla Rank of Tiro; one son Brian Rank of Shelby; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; one brother, William Waldbauer of Tiffin; one sister Janet Nethers of Mt. Gilead, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her previous husband, George W. Rank; one sister, Mary Joyce and her Yorkie, Charlie.
Friends may visit the family from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory in Shelby. Funeral services will immediately following at 6:00 PM. Graveside services will be held at the Crawford County Memory Gardens at a later date.
