Creston Norwayne finally found a way to top Apple Creek Waynedale 47-40 on Jan. 23 in Ohio boys high school basketball.

Creston Norwayne jumped in front of Apple Creek Waynedale 14-12 to begin the second quarter.

The Bobcats fought to a 21-12 intermission margin at the Golden Bears’ expense.

Both teams scored evenly in the third quarter to make it 38-29.

The Golden Bears narrowed the gap 11-9 in the final quarter but it was too little, too late.

In recent action on Jan. 17, Apple Creek Waynedale faced off against Magnolia Sandy Valley and Creston Norwayne took on Jeromesville Hillsdale on Jan. 16 at Norwayne High School.
