Chlotene Noble, age 77 of Shelby, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.
Born May 14, 1948, in Soldier, Kentucky, to the late Frank H. and Inez M. (Webb) Smith, she had been a Shelby resident for over 50 years and a member of Taylortown Community Church for about 49 years. Chlotene graduated from Lexington High School in the class of 1966. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and crocheting. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt, Chlotene treasured the time she spent with her family.
Those who will cherish her memories include her children, Kevin L. (Lynette) Noble of Shelby, and Douglas L. (Penny) Noble of Ocala, Florida; three grandchildren, Austin (Renea) Noble, Tyler (Destiny) Noble, and Aiden Noble; two great-grandchildren, Warren and Iridessa; twin brother, Eugene (Connie) Smith of Plymouth, and brother Frank Smith of Shelby; and nieces and nephews.
Chlotene was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends and family may come to honor Chlotene’s life from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at Taylortown Community Church, 2656 Taylortown Road, Shelby, Ohio 44875. A service will begin immediately following at 1:00 PM at the church with Rev. Doug Tackett officiating. Interment will be held at a later date at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh, Ohio.
In place of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in her memory to Taylortown Community Church, 2656 Taylortown Road, Shelby, Ohio 44875.
