Judith Kathleen Brendus, 85, of Mansfield passed away Tuesday evening, December 16, 2025, at her home.
She was born on November 1, 1940, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Jacob Hriesik and Ruth Eleanor (Wright) Zacharias. Judy was a lifelong resident of Mansfield who enjoyed being out in nature in her younger years. She was an amazing cook. She enjoyed her farm life. Judy worked as a healthcare aide for many years. She enjoyed quiet times spent with her dog, Buddy.
Judy is survived by four children, Patricia Elizabeth Karbula of AZ, Debra Hettinger and Joy L. (Roger) Schwartzwalder, both of Ohio, and Misty D. Hettinger of AZ; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Brendus; daughter, Judy Arnold; and grandson, Tristen Hale.
A memorial service and burial in Mansfield Cemetery will be held at a future date.
