The first quarter gave Dover a 9-5 lead over Ashland.
The Tornadoes’ shooting jumped in front for a 20-13 lead over the Arrows at the half.
Dover jumped to a 34-24 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
The Arrows outpointed the Tornadoes 22-18 in the final quarter, but it was not enough to close the gap.
Last season, Ashland and Dover squared off on Dec. 28, 2024 at Dover High School.
In recent action on Dec. 5, Dover faced off against Lexington and Ashland took on Clyde on Dec. 6 at Clyde High School.
