PATRICIA K. LEHMAN of Mansfield passed peacefully Friday, December 5th, 2025, in her home surrounded by her loved ones and beloved dog Taco after a long battle with COPD. Pat was born December 17th, 1942 in Ashland, Ohio, then living in the Mansfield area since 1952. She graduated from Madison High School in 1960 and later met her husband Richard Lehman whom she married in 1968.

Pat loved being with her family, laughing, telling jokes, raising her sons and spending time with her numerous nieces and nephews. She was an avid reader, and could often be found nose-deep in a good book drinking a cup of coffee, or perhaps a glass of red wine, and some sweet snacks nearby. After her husband died, you would find her after work spending time with her sister Barb almost daily. She and Barb would often do their weekly shopping every Saturday and have lunch with “The Girls”, which could be any family member or friend – because they would often share where they were going to eat with everyone. Sunday mornings were also often spent with family members at one of their frequent breakfast locations where anyone was welcome.

She was a quietly fierce believer of fairness and freedom. Those efforts led her to give often to support the US Holocaust Memorial Museum, and to become an Honored Citizen of the Mount Vernon Ladies’ Association of George Washington’s Mt. Vernon.

She is survived by sons Peter (Carol) Lehman of Mansfield Ohio, Benjamin, Ben’s partner Joy Diaz, and Joy’s children Grace and Thomas, all of Massillon; her brother Dennis (Genelle) Eggerton of Fredericktown Ohio, sister Betty Scheurer, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard A. Lehman, her parents Donald C.“Sam” and Mary A. (nee Satler) Eggerton, sister Mary Lou Ward, sister and brother-in-law Barb and Lanny Mitchell, brother Dwight Eggerton, and brother-in-law John Scheurer.

Calling hours will be held at Herlihy Funeral Home, 173 Park Avenue West on December 20, from 2 pm – 4 pm. The family will be holding a Celebration of Life at a later date to be announced by the family.

Small but mighty, she was loved by so many and will be severely missed.
