Carolyn K. Bettac, 75 of Ashland passed from this life on December 3, 2025 at home following a courageous battle with Cancer with her family at her side.

She was born on February 8, 1950 in Danville, the daughter of the late Malcolm and Vernita (nee Long) Mellor.

Carolyn graduated from Danville High School, Class of 1968. She furthered her education and earned a certificate from Wooster Beauty College in 1970.

She married Joseph Keller who preceded her in death. Carolyn later remarried to Kenneth Bettac who also preceded her.

Carolyn was a devout member of the Lighthouse Pentecostal Assembly. She was very active on council and various activities around the church, including making peanut brittle. Aside from her relationship with Jesus as her Lord and Savior, family was so very important to Carolyn. She loved her family with all of her heart.

She is survived by one son, Jonathon (Stephanie) Bettac of Chardon; one daughter, Jennifer (Jim) Holliday of Ashland; nine grandchildren, Cody (Sara) Bettac, Megan Bettac of Chardon, Kristen Bettac of Chardon, Logan (Brenna) Martin of Ashland, Zachary Martin of Ashland, Nicole (Josh) Redman of Mansfield, James (Juli) Holliday of Wooster, Bryon Holliday of Ashland, and Chase Holliday of Ashland; twelve great grandchildren, Emerie, Asher, Benjamin, Rowan, Madison, Stetson, Annaleigh, Paisley, Maverick, McKinnley, Mason, and Weston; her twin sister, Marilyn (Thad) Mahoney of Seville; three additional sisters, Kathryn Linder of Jacksonville, Florida, Betsy (Frank) Harris of Cave Creek, Arizona and Wanda Kennedy of Jacksonville, Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn is preceded in death by her two husbands, Joseph Kellar and Kenneth Bettac; one sister, Elaine Mellor; and a brother-in-law, Ron Linder.

A Celebration of Carolyn’s Life will be next month in the Lighthouse Pentecostal Assembly with Reverend Dr. Paul Tracy and Jim Holliday, son-in-law, presiding.
