Bing Russell Cole, age 87 of Mansfield, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025. He was born on October 22, 1938, in Muncie, Indiana, to Raymond and LulaBelle (Creech) Cole.

Bing loved the Lord, and he was an active member of Mansfield Baptist Temple, where he served in many capacities. He worked at General Motors for 34 years as a die set coordinator, and he served in the US Air Force for 4 years, during which he spent some time in Korea. He also worked for several years as an EMT/firefighter for the Mifflin Township Fire Department in Mansfield. He was an accomplished woodcarver, and he loved to share his carvings with family and friends. He spent a lot of time fishing on Lake Erie with his fishing buddy Floyd.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years Bonnie; his daughter Becky (Jeff) Fuqua; his son Tim (Mandy) Cole; his grandchildren Sam Fuqua, Elizabeth, Fuqua, Cameron Cole, and Autumn Cole; and his great-grandchildren Hudson and Harrison Cole.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, two brothers, and a half-sister.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. Services will take place at 12:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Robert Kurtz officiating. Burial will follow at Mansfield Memorial Park.
