MANSFIELD — Fizz.48 is teaming with Rubies Women’s Group for a new community initiative called “Fizz with a Purpose.”
The partnership will feature a special “Ruby drink” available Dec. 2 to 13 at Fizz.48. For every Ruby drink sold, $1 will be donated to Rubies Women’s Group, Executive Director Candace Watson-Cole said.
“Business with a Purpose” celebrates local businesses
Watson-Cole said this partnership marks the start of a new effort from Rubies to highlight local businesses that support its mission.
“This upcoming year we will feature one business each month that we partner with to provide a service or product with a purpose,” she said. “Just like Fizz with a Purpose, there will be Rubies materials at the business and a donation box.”
Rubies has previously partnered with local businesses such as Pump and Grind, Mansfield Nutrition and Exhale Day Spa for “Business with a Purpose.” In 2026, Watson-Cole said the group is hoping to partner with 12 businesses in the community.
Fizz.48 owner Janelle Blake said Watson-Cole reached out to them to collaborate.
“We sat down with her and we were definitely interested,” Blake said. “This organization’s mission aligns with our values of supporting women, strengthening families and uplifting our community.”
The non-alcoholic drink features a Sprite base with cherry and raspberry, topped with sweet cream.
“It is so good and refreshing,” Blake said.
Blake added that offering the Ruby drink gives them a chance not only to raise funds, but raise awareness for Rubies Women’s Group.
“Supporting this organization means a lot to us. It’s a reminder that community matters,” she said. “When we lift up women, we lift up families and communities.”
Supporting women on their journey to healing
According to Rubies Women’s Group, the organization “assists and serves women with addiction, human sex trafficking and re-entry needs, helping them encounter the Lord in order to heal.”
Watson-Cole said local business partnerships are vital to the success of Rubies Women’s Group and the women they serve.
“We love that our local businesses continue to support Rubies,” she said. “Without them, we could not continue to assist the women we do in our community.”
“This initiative also helps our community discover local businesses they may not know exist, while bringing awareness to human trafficking and Rubies.”
Rubies Women’s Group provides women in the community with support, resources and empowerment opportunities.
