Alice June DiMeolo, 91, of Chardon, passed from her physical life and into the arms of her Savior on Monday afternoon, November 24, 2025, at UH Geauga Medical Center in Chardon, Ohio.

The daughter of Earl and Janet (Garverick) Cover, June was born July 3, 1934, in Mansfield. A country girl at heart, she was raised in Johnsville and graduated from Johnsville High School. June fell in love with a young man from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who was also a motivated teacher and coach, James DiMeolo. On December 19, 1953, June and Jim were united in marriage in Mount Gilead.

June’s focus throughout her life was that of a devoted wife and loving mother. She was steadfastly supportive of Jim’s career as an educator, remaining a pillar of strength and stability that her family grew to depend on. Her unwavering commitment to her loved ones spanned multiple generations. June was her grandchildren’s biggest fan, cheering them on from the stands at sporting events and school activities. She was active and a constant presence in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Born with a gentle spirit and a heart devoted to family and faith, June lived a life marked by kindness, service, and unwavering love. Together, she and Jim were avid tennis players, and June enjoyed sharing her passion for the sport as a tennis instructor. She was active and loved all sports. She attended Christ Community Church in Willoughby, Ohio.

June cherished her family above all and took great pride in the strong bonds she nurtured throughout her long and blessed life. She was known for her steady faith, which carried her through life’s many seasons and now guides her peacefully home.

She is survived by her children:
• Christopher DiMeolo and his children—Nathan DiMeolo and his children Elijah and Lily; Elizabeth (JD); Matthew DiMeolo; Daniel DiMeolo; and Mark (Katie) DiMeolo and their son James.
• Gregory (Karen) DiMeolo and their seven children—Ryan (Amanda) DiMeolo and their children Trevor and Cooper; Erin (Tyler) Medford and their children Bennett, Hudson, Laney, and Boone; Ben (Shelia) DiMeolo and their children Turner, Josie, Haddon, and Maggie; Jesse (Vanessa) DiMeolo and their daughter Ana Sophia; Lauren (Jesse) Bassett and their children Millie, Margot, and Maisy; James (Kylie) DiMeolo; and Lydia (Armand) Colas.
• Leisa (Mark) Tebbs and her children—Jared (Ali) Tebbs and their children Samuel, Jaxon, and Brooklyn; Marcus Tebbs; and Matthew (Kelsey) Tebbs.

June is also survived by her brother Gary Cover; sisters-in-law Garnet Cover and Carol Cover; and many extended family members and friends who loved her dearly.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James DiMeolo; brothers Howard and John Cover; and sister-in-law Joan Cover.

Public visitation will be held Friday, November 28, 2025, from 12:30–1:00 p.m. in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home, where June’s funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Her son, Rev. Gregory DiMeolo, will officiate. Burial will follow in Shauck Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Westminster School of Augusta.
