Shelly “NayNay” Baker, age 61, of Mansfield, passed away on November 4, 2025. She was born on May 6, 1964, in Los Angeles, California.
Shelly is survived by Rachel Baker; her children Chad Jose, Stephanie Carter, and Nicole Carter; her four brothers; her beloved grandchildren; her dear friend Susan Gray; and her best friend forever, Sheryl Jackson.
Known affectionately as “NayNay,” Shelly loved her animals like family and her grandkids even more. If you didn’t bark, meow, or call her “NayNay,” she probably didn’t have much time for you.
In her honor, pet a dog, cuddle a cat, or hug your grandkids. And if that’s not an option, well—do what she’d tell you to do: stop doing “stupid things.” That’s exactly what she would have wanted.
