June D. Mueck, 80, of Mt. Vernon, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2025 at Laurels of Mt. Vernon.
June was born July 12, 1945 in Marion to Floyd and Mattie Layne Wilson. She retired from RAM in Mt. Vernon where she was a Home Health Aide. June enjoyed going on road trips, spending time with her great-grandkids, and was very ornery, telling many stories. One of her favorite sayings was “I’m the lawnmower and you’re the grass and I’m gonna mow your “butt” over.”
Survivors include her daughters Vicki (significant other Jeff Delong) Vernon, Debbie White; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister Sharon McKnight.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Gary Mueck; and a son Ron Mueck.
Visitation will take place Wednesday, October 29, 2025 from 11:00am – 12:00pm at Herlihy Funeral Home, 173 Park Avenue West, Mansfield. Then a graveside service will be held that day at 1:30pm at Brush Ridge Cemetery, 4964 Brush Ridge Dr. N., Marion.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Herlihy Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
